Maintenance tips

After your anti-slip treatment has fully-cured (4-5 days), you should keep the surface clean, to ensure it’s non-slip properties are retained.

Here are six quick tips to get the best performance and durability from your anti-slip coating:

  1. Don’t use any type of tape on the floor.
  2. Keep everything off the floor for at least 12 hours after application.
  3. Do not wash the floor for the first 3 days.
  4. Construction days can take place after complete curing (4 – 5 days) provided the surface is protected.
  5. Cover surface with a layer of cardboard followed by a layer of ply or Masonite for protection — NEVER cover the floor with plastic.
  6. Don’t drag sharp or heavy objects across the surface.
  7. Avoid using cleaners with an acid, citrus or ammonia base.
  8. Don’t use strippers on the surface.
  9. If you use an auto scrubber on your floors, only use a soft brush.
  10. Use IBS Tough Green degreaser (at 1:20 dilution) to clean your floor.
  11. Clean up any spills as soon as they occur.
