Struggling to find the right sealant?
Try our FREE “Sealant Selection Test”
We’ll take a sample of your stone or tile and test it to find the perfect sealant to suit YOUR floor.
This service is absolutely cost and obligation FREE!
- Cleaning and Polishing
We use ultra-high speed polishing to restore the lustre of worn stone floors.
- Restorations/Cleaning
This is a more intense treatment than simple cleaning and polishing, but is less costly than grinding or re-vitrification.
- Re-vitrification
The surface is cut back slightly and chemically polished to yield a beautiful gloss and restore natural richness to the stone.
- Grinding
Removes deep scratches and etching in severely damaged floors to yield a stunningly beautiful end-result. Also used to smooth out unevenly laid tiles, giving the floor a smoother appearance and removing tripping hazards.
- Sealing
There are many factors to consider when choosing a sealer for your stone floor, which is why we’ll take a sample of your stone and seal it for you (at no cost) in a number of different finishes so you can see the effects of different products.
One thing we WON’T do is recommend one manufacturer’s sealant over another! Our experience has proven that, when it comes to sealant, a one-size-fits-all approach just won’t cut it. So we’d much rather advise you on which sealants are best for your specific floor type.

Stone Sealers
These can be divided into three broad categories:
- Impregnating sealers or penetrating sealers
These sealers are absorbed into the surface of the stone or tile. They flood the tiny porous holes in the material. Impregnating sealers are most frequently rated as ‘green’ sealers and we will provide certificates for green certified sealers upon request.
A wide variety of impregnating sealers is available to suit different porosities and densities of stone.
These sealers are available in a range of different finishes including:
- Natural Look Sealers – which are basically invisible and don’t change the look of the stone or tile.
- Wet Look Flat Sealers (Enhancing sealers) – which give the stone or tile a naturally enhanced look. These are excellent for enhancing the grains and colours in marble, granite, travertine and sand stone; while maintaining the natural finish. The acrylic component in these sealers creates an extremely stain-resistant surface.
- Topical sealers (Sacrificial coatings)
These sealers are designed to coat the surface of the stone or tile. They are very versatile and can be used on any hard floor surface. They are available in a range of finishes including high gloss, semi gloss, satin and flat.
Topical sealers form a protective barrier over the surface of the floor, protecting it from heavy foot traffic. The sealer (which is easy and relatively inexpensive to replace) is sacrificed to wear and tear rather than the tile or stone surface.
- Hybrid sealers
A mixture between the impregnating and topical sealers, hybrid sealers have excellent bonding capabilities as they are absorbed into the stone as well as forming a tough surface coating. This means that they last longer than most other sealers and require less maintenance. Hybrid sealers are available in satin and gloss finishes.
